With over 23 years of experience and a transformative impact on more than sixty five thousand students, Alchemy is a pioneer in Developmental Drama. Its well-structured curriculum is designed to foster communication and life skills, while also supporting those passionate about pursuing higher education in Theatre Arts. At the Youth Theatre level, Alchemy offers opportunities for skill enhancement, internships, portfolio development, and university guidance.
Alchemy’s courses are designed to be highly interactive, encouraging active participation through brainstorming sessions, movement-based activities, and dynamic group interactions. Every module is crafted to keep students engaged, curious, and mentally agile. Learners collaborate in pairs and small groups, exchanging ideas, sharing insights, and gaining diverse perspectives from a global learning community.
Each module includes an individual assessment, with clear evaluation criteria provided to learners in advance. Assessments will consider both classroom participation and overall performance. Students will be guided to embrace feedback—both from teachers and peers—with a constructive and open mindset. Feedback will be delivered in a supportive, forward-focused manner to promote continuous growth.
Twice a year, in the months of October and March, the teacher will hold individual meetings with parents to share observations and discuss the progress of their child.
At the end of the academic year, each learner will be required to present a solo performance and group drama, aligned with their certification level. The specific performance criteria and categories will be outlined according to the details of the respective certification grade.
Alchemy ensures that its teachers are highly qualified and thoroughly trained before they enter the classroom. They also participate in weekly intensive and progressive training sessions to stay updated and continually improve. Maintaining a high standard of teaching and learning across all Alchemy centres and platforms is a top priority.
Each level, lasting eleven months, is split into two terms (Except Grade 1 & Youth Theatre Level O that span across 10 months). The progress of every student is shared with parents at the end of each term. Each batch admits only 30 students.
